The “best Adhesive” for you…

Struggling with lashes sticking? Is your glue not drying fast enough?

Are the lashes popping off during an appointment when you brush them?

Annoyed that you are needing to change to a different bottle of glue because your lash rooms environment changed? Or the seasons changed?

I have experienced these issues too. It’s extremely frustrating. But I have found the adhesive that works for me.
"I am not a huge fan of changing to new adhesives. The Lyly adhesive works the best for me and my clients, producing great retention. So why change a good thing."
When the seasons change, your adhesive will react differently. Do you change your room humidity and temperature to match your adhesive needs?
Or…
Do you change to a different adhesive?
Or…
Do you know how to adjust your technique when using your adhesive during the season change? Throughout this blog, I will tell you what I do and why...

Personally, I don't like to change my humidity levels to match The Adhesive's sensitive personality. Maybe I'm heartless... but she just requires so much maintenance if I did add a humidifier or dehumidifier.
Lately, the Lyly Adhesive has been my go to! I religiously used BB Bond for 3 years (in Minnesota and then Arizona). But I wanted a glue that dried faster for when I was doing volume lashes.

My skills had improved with lashing. I was ready for a faster glue.

I did it! I tried the Lyly Adhesive and fell in love. She dries super fast and I’m here for it! Now, my weather is changing due to seasons but I don’t want to change to a different adhesive. Why change a good thing because my weather or lash room humidity changed….? I don’t want to.
When the season starts to change, it is noticeable, not only by how the leaves change, but by how the adhesive is reacting. In the summer months, my humidity is higher. The Lyly Adhesive, I use, works best with my speed and the amount of adhesive I typically tend to pick up on the extensions, in 40% humidity. It allows the fastest time with just a small bead of adhesive around the extension.

However, if there was higher humidity that day, or during that client, I would dip the extension in the adhesive grabbing just more than a small/tiny bead of glue. Otherwise, if I continued to only get a small bead of glue, coating around the extension, the higher humidity would cure it very fast. It may allow the extension to stick to the natural lash, but not for the best retention. If your extensions are popping off when you brush, this is why.

As I enter in to the dryer, winter months in Arizona, my humidity normally drops to 16-30% which I would then grab a very small amount of adhesive to apply. Below are some tips to help you remember how much adhesive is necessary for your environment.

lowest humidity

very little adhesive at the base of the extension.

Low humidity

Just a sMall/tiny bead of adhesive at the base. Hardly NOTICEABLE to the eye.

High humidity

a bead of adhesive
